What You Need to Know About Your Nissan Key Fob

Smart Keys Keys
The key fob included with the Nissan is an essential component of its advanced keyless entry system. It communicates with the vehicle's electronic systems to open doors and turn on the engine. It also comes with a convenient design, making it easy to carry in your pocket. A key fob offers other advantages, including locking out protection. This feature makes sure you don't leave your vehicle with keys inside.
In contrast to previous models of key fobs which required you to insert the key in the ignition slot to access the onboard systems in your vehicle, smart keys work wirelessly. Nissan detects when you are near your vehicle and activates the Intelligent Key's internal functions. This could mean opening and closing the doors, raising or lowering the tailgate and even launching the engine.
Some smart key models feature a hidden metal key to serve as a valet parking device. This key can be pulled from a release on the back of the Smart Key fob to secure the trunk or glove box before handing it over to a valet. The Smart Key fob has a charging pocket which can be used to charge the battery when it is not in use.
It's possible to replace the batteries on your Nissan Intelligent Key fob if it's not functioning properly. Most fobs have CR2025 or CR2032 batteries, and instructions for changing the batteries are available in your owner's manual.
Intelligent Key Fob
With the Nissan Intelligent Key Fob you can unlock your car's doors and start the engine at the touch of the button. You can also use presets that meet your needs. For example you can adjust the mirrors and seat to maximize comfort. You can also control the music through your smartphone, ensuring that you'll never need to leave your vehicle.
Intelligent Key Fob have a built-in antenna which transmits the signal when you enter your vehicle or press one of its buttons. When the vehicle receives this signal, the system is activated, unlocking and locking doors, starting up the engine, or opening the trunk. If you'd like to test out the fob, stand a distance from your vehicle, and then press the buttons. If the lights flash or the horn beeps then you've successfully programmed your Intelligent Key Fob.
Batteries are required to operate Intelligent Key Fobs. Our Parts Department will help you quickly and efficiently replace it if the battery runs out of batteries. To do this, first remove the key that is hidden from your key fob, then open the battery compartment. Replace replacement car key nissan with a brand new one after removing the old one. Make sure that the positive face of the new battery faces in the same direction it did in the previous one. Close the compartment in the battery and then return the secret key back to its concealed position within the case.
Remote Start

Before closing the outer case make sure that the hidden key is inserted again and the key fob is put back together correctly. Lockout Protection
Lockout protection can prevent the nuisance of lockouts that are caused by impedance relay failure. A special module within the power control unit watches the impedance relay's activity and then turns off the output. This feature is accessible on vehicles that are equipped with the Smart Key system, or through the vehicle's personalization menu.

All "affected", "authorized" and "qualified" personnel should be taught about the use of lockout and tagout devices. These devices include but not only chains, locks, padlocks, wedges, adapter pins and self-locking fasteners. Each device is singularly identified and labeled, including the date and time of application and the name of the authorized individual and the reason behind the lockout/tag-out (repair maintenance, repair, etc.). It must be stated clearly that these devices cannot be removed until a complete LOTO procedure is followed.
